Independent Creative Projects
Since quarantine began, I have taken on many small creative projects. I have always had a passion for music and wanted to challenge and express myself by making my own. Painting and drawing have additionally become hobbies for me through replicating other works or creating originals.
Music/Singing
Over the summer going into senior year, I created an original song regarding my feelings on quarantine. I was aware it had taken a large mental toll on many people and I wanted to put these emotions into a song. Below is the process of making it.

Since making "I Stay." I have found small ways to improve the sound quality and overall production of my work. I was also inspired to create a more upbeat song in contrast to "I Stay." I decided to leave it as an instrumental, as I wasn't sure what to write for the lyrics.

In the future, I will most likely revisit these projects to improve or add to them. I would like to re-record the vocals of "I Stay" and create lyrics for the instrumental song. I would love to continue learning about music production as well.
Drawing/Painting
Visual art is very therapeutic for me and is a good way to avoid looking at the screen. I have practiced drawing and shading using pencils, a cotton ball, and erasers. I also purchased acrylic paint to create observational as well as fantastical art. Using these methods has further aided me in my school IB art projects.
