IB diploma candidates are required to reach a minimum number of CAS hours, standing for creativity, action, and service. Creativity hours can be met by participating in any form of art such as music, dance, or painting. Action hours entail physical activity including sports or independent exercise. Meanwhile, service hours are completed by volunteering for the community, whether it be for school social justice clubs or outside organizations.
